Meet Mikayla

Hi! I’m Mikayla, founder of COVA Learning Center.

I believe every student deserves instruction that meets their unique needs and an instructor who truly believes in their ability to grow. That's why I started COVA. I wanted to create a place where students feel seen, supported, and reminded of what they are capable of.

I have spent nearly a decade supporting students and families as a literacy interventionist and educational therapist. I have helped hundreds of students navigate learning challenges like dyslexia, dysgraphia, ADHD, executive functioning struggles, and other learning differences. In addition to working directly with students, I’ve also been a curriculum developer, conference presenter, and have provided professional development trainings to thousands of educators around the world.

I believe that every child deserves the right to read and am passionate about getting them the tools they need to make it happen. There is nothing more amazing than watching a skill finally “click” for a student. Seeing a child realize they can learn and that these skills won’t always be so hard is truly incredible.

My goal is that every student I work with leaves with more than just literacy skills. I want every child to know just how incredibly capable they are.
