Reading & Writing Intervention
Our 1:1 literacy intervention gets to the heart of your child’s struggles to help fill in gaps and set them up with a solid foundation for success.
Students find that this kind of support allows skills to “click.” The skills that have kept them stuck for years finally make more sense and reading and writing feel less daunting than before.
Families often notice that homework becomes just another part of the day and that reading stops feeling like such a battle.

Our reading & writing intervention is designed to support students in grades K-12.
In each virtual lesson, students meet directly with their interventionist. Our instruction is individualized and intentionally designed to support each child’s specific needs.
Each session is 60 minutes long. This includes 55 minutes of instructional time and 5 minutes of parent feedback, so you know exactly what skills were worked on, how your child is progressing, and can ask any questions you might have.
Most students see results with 1-2 sessions per week. Each session is $100.

Each lesson is designed to support phonological awareness, phonics, vocabulary, reading fluency, comprehension, and writing. Within that framework, we adjust activities as needed based on your child’s specific needs so that they get the most out of every session.

We start with a baseline so that we can know exactly where your child is at and which skills need the most support. From there, we take data in every lesson so that we can quickly adjust when needed and keep instruction responsive to your child’s needs. Midpoint and final assessments are also given in each level so that you have access to ongoing results.
We will provide a treatment plan that outlines your child’s goals as well as progress reports so that you’re never left in the dark about how your child is progressing.
Families often share that in addition to improved reading scores, their children are more willing to read at home, their teachers see improvements in the classroom, and their children feel pride in the work they are doing!
Students work hard to build literacy skills, but true understanding develops when those skills are applied in real reading.
Literacy Enrichment Book Clubs
Students often spend years learning literacy skills, but never learn how to connect them to “real reading.” This leaves students with all of the ingredients, but no recipe.
Our 1:1 Literacy Enrichment Book Clubs are designed to help students bridge that gap.
These sessions are designed to help students continue strengthening their literacy skills through guided reading, discussion, and targeted literacy activities aligned with age-appropriate books.
This allows for students to actually use the skills they’ve learned, making reading feel more approachable.

Our Literacy Enrichment Book Clubs are designed for students in grades 2–6. Each program includes 10 virtual sessions scheduled weekly or biweekly based on your family’s needs.
Sessions are held 1:1 with an interventionist to provide individualized guidance, support, and discussion throughout the program. Reading at home between sessions is required.
Each Book Club is $900 or two payments of $450 and includes a physical copy of the book shipped directly to your home.

Each session is designed to help students apply foundational literacy skills while reading authentic literature. Students will strengthen skills related to phonological awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, comprehension, spelling, writing, and critical thinking through guided reading and discussion activities connected directly to the text.
Throughout the program, students learn how to use the strategies they’ve practiced in intervention in a more meaningful and connected way.

Literacy Enrichment Book Clubs are a great fit for students who have already completed intensive literacy intervention (through COVA or elsewhere) and are looking for continued support as they grow in confidence and independence as readers.
This program can also be a good fit for:
· Students who would benefit from guided support while reading chapter books
· Reluctant readers who need encouragement to build their confidence
· Families looking for short-term literacy enrichment
· Students who need help bridging foundational skills into independent reading
Many families initially wonder how this works in a virtual setting, especially if their child has struggled with focus or engagement in the past.
The short answer is: it works because it is intentionally designed for it.
Why Virtual Instruction Works:
Students are actively engaged in each lesson through guided instruction, interactive lessons, learning games, and real-time support with their interventionist.
It also allows students to learn in a space where they feel comfortable, which often helps them stay more engaged and open to learning.
Without travel time or scheduling stress, families are also better able to maintain the consistency that supports real progress.
